This year, the tour highlights the Toonerville neighborhood, which encompasses 1st, Floyd, and Brook Streets. This neighborhood association takes its whimsical name from the Toonerville Trolley comic strip, based on the short Brook Street trolley that ran from 1915 until 1930. “Memorial Day Weekend on the Farm,” featuring an 1850s hay press demonstration, will be offered at O’Bannon Woods State Park. The family-friendly event takes place at the Hickory Hollow Nature Center in the state park, which is west of Corydon.

The main feature is a demonstration of the nationally unique 1850 hay press, which is run by Forest and Gump, the park’s short-horned oxen. More information at www.louisville.com.
