La Grange Kentucky, a name not so American, but definitely something French. If you will ask me the name La Grange sounds fancy and something you would love to say over and over! Lol! But, aside from the fancy name, La Grange town will never bore you in terms of historic places, arts, and crafts.
La Grange is part of the Oldham County in Kentucky and the home of few of the many historic places listed on the National Register of Historic Places listings in Oldham County, Kentucky

As per wikipedia.org, La Grange was named after the French country estate the Château de la Grange-Bléneau  owned by General Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette.

General Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette, is the American Revolutionary hero better known as the Marquis de Lafayette, who had visited the area in 1824. Read more at en.wikipedia.org.
