I believe that everyone needs to head to the nearest spa in your area after Halloween. The stress of designing your house, accommodating your kids superhero costume, a night of dressing up while handing candies to the Trick or Treaters and all the booze from the Pre and Post Halloween celebration can give you so much body pain, stress and an alone time sounds really good.

If you are in town visiting or a resident in Indianapolis, this is one way to start the month and your week feeling fresh, rejuvenated and the feeling of clarity after relaxing for a day at the spa. Going to a spa is not just for relaxation or to unwind, it's a natural way of healing by promoting the circulation of the blood in our body, thus, it increases the oxygen going to our brain, helps to flush toxins, helps to regulate your sleep and a lot more.

I personally like the foot reflexology, it's suppose to apply pressure on the points that is directly connected to your organs and system in our body.

It's ridiculously painful at first and you will absolutely hate the person applying the pressure on your foot at first. All the twist and turning while in pain for 30 mins. is all worth it.

You will feel lighter, better and fresh. It's like the quickest way to feel rejuvenated and you can do this at home with your partner or my case, on my own... I have a stick that is used for reflexology and I just apply pressure on my foot every week.

I have chosen the Top 5 Spa's around Indianapolis by affordability, The services they offer and reviews from their past clients. Affordability is the key for that most needed and overdue relaxation. Here is our Top 5 Spa's around Indianapolis (in no particular order).

It's almost Halloween! I know I'm not the only one who is excited with the upcoming Halloween. It's the only time where we can let our weirdness loose and dress up as our favorite characters or become one of the zombies in the walking dead.
Halloween is one of the time where everyone gets creative, I mean freakishly creative. I have been searching for some really good and elaborate Halloween designs and from all that I have seen today... Some are really disturbing rather than scary and from the looks of it I need to binge on pictures of puppies and kittens later.
But, I will not let you experience that and instead I will post the almost too real designs, most elaborate pumpkin carvings, and the almost too real deserts that I'd rather starve than risking myself eating the real thing. Lol! I know... I love Halloween, but there is a limit between too much and just cute for Halloween.
I have compiled pictures of amazing pumpkin carvings, designs or props that looks real and some deserts that look's too real... Kudos to whoever made those! I am a fan of your creativity and how flawless your execution is. Hats off to you guys!

Isn't amazing how detailed these pumpkins are? The other one looks like the Lorax!

There is no reason you can’t marry your two passions. Celebrate the season of goblins and ghouls without missing out on the weekend’s arts activities. Here are 5 can’t-miss spooky arts events to attend this Halloween week.

Big Ticket Items and the Best Fall Buys

Big Ticket Items and the Best Fall Buys

In the market for a new stove, upgraded set of wheels, or major getaway? Now’s the time to save on these and other purchases. Have you been noticing some good prices on big-ticket items lately? Now’s a great time to save on these higher-priced purchases.

Travel

It’s not only smart to lock in your holiday airfare, but since it’s “shoulder season” — the time of year when crowds disperse and prices to popular destinations drop from their summertime highs — it’s an excellent time to actually travel.
Interested in setting sail? You can save several hundred dollars on cruises this time of year.
Is Europe on your bucket list? Pack your bags! The conditions are perfect: airfares are reasonable, hotels in traditionally expensive cities are much more affordable than they were during peak season, and the U.S. dollar continues to be strong against the Euro and other European currencies. To maximize savings, consider booking a package that combines hotel and airfare.

Cars

When the new 2016 models hit the lots in early fall (i.e., now), dealers roll out all sorts of incentives on older models, such as cashback incentives and low- or no-interest financing. If the newer models are significantly more appealing because of new features or styling changes, the savings is more significant.
shutterstock_256872961
Just make sure you do your research before setting foot inside the dealership, as the more prepared you are, the better-positioned you will be to negotiate.
Popular car-buying sites, such as Kelley Blue Book and Edmunds can help you come up with a target price on a new car based on where you live and which features you’re interested in.

Grills and patio furniture

After Labor Day, prices on grills get slashed by up to 50 percent. And that’s significant, considering that top-of-the-line models can easily exceed $1,000. In October, the discounts get even steeper (think 70 percent or more), although the selection is more limited.
As for patio furniture, expect discounts on any remaining summer inventory of up to 85 percent in October and into November.

Household appliances

Historically, fall is the best time to buy most major household appliances, with the exception of refrigerators (wait until May). After all, this is when older models need to be cleared out to make room for the new.
Dishwashers, stoves and washer/dryer sets are usually marked down by about 20 percent. Prices may be slashed by as much as 90 percent on clearance items.

An Indianapolis Halloween 2015

An Indianapolis Halloween 2015

Family Friendly

Indy’s interactive history park welcomes you to “Conner Scairie” for their Halloween festivities. Connor Prairie has been taken over by friendly ghosts and ghouls - as well as the newly elected mayor, the Headless Horseman. Families can take part in a haunted hayride, costume contest, and Scary-o-ke, where they can put their vocal cords to the test. Magic shows and the returning favorite marionette show, Legend of Sleepy Hollow, round out the list for this frighteningly fun family event!
Indiana’s beautiful fall weather sets the perfect backdrop for the Indianapolis Zoo’s annual Halloween ZooBoo. Animals even get in the holiday spirit with Halloween-themed Dolphin Adventure Shows and the Elephant Pumpkin Smash. The Zoo will be decked out in its Halloween best, providing plenty of photo opportunities for families. Children are encouraged to wear a costume and bring a reusable bag to collect some Halloween goodies.

Haunted HouseShiver me timbers! Pirates are swarming and they want revenge! You'll walk the plank and navigate a maze as you journey to the sea on a ghost ship seeking lost treasure. Beware the kraken! There are both friendly and frightening hours for pirates of all ages. There’s even an XTREME SCREAM late-night viewing that offers a whole new level of fright!

Explore downtown Indy’s haunted past with this Halloween ghost tour by Historic Indiana Ghost Walks and Tours. Visitors will explore haunted theaters, businesses, and more as they travel down Meridian Street and through the Wholesale District. Guides will share the stories of a Midwest serial killer, a traveling salesman murderer, gangs of the early 1900s, and ladies of the evening, all of whom have stuck around Indy even after their deaths.

For over 60 years, the Historic Irvington Halloween Festival has united thousands of residents, several neighborhood organizations, and Eastside businesses with their Halloween festivities. The festival spans a week’s time and offers a five-mile run, scholarship pageant, musicians, contests, Halloween-themed movie nights, ghost tours, roller derby, a haunted puppet show, and more. It all culminates Saturday, October 24, with a street fair that features over 170 vendors, live music, and a costume parade.

Truly Frightening

A Halloween haunt for the whole family (provided everyone enjoys a good scare), Slaughterhaus is a nightmare on Post Road. Participants are guided on a disgustingly dismal tour of this enormous 7,000 square foot house with tons of sick and twisted shockers from a depressing beginning to the 'Freaky' end.

Haunted Angelus has been dubbed “Indianapolis’ Scariest Haunted House.”  This scary experience raises money for The Angelus, a cerebral palsy group home in Florida. They offer a wide range of food and drinks, as well as glowsticks to carry through the haunted house.

Aside from visiting historical places, going to museums or attending an event in Indianapolis; we all look forward to chill after a long day and hit the local bars to chill, relax and experience what this city has got to offer.

When I was younger I can hit the bar until the wee hours of the morning with my friends. We chill, a lot of booze and I guess you can call it a picnic since we always order a lot of food (not Niki!). My friends and I just chill, listen to acoustic bands and chit chat all night or until 6 am. After a stressful day at work, this is the only way we know to destress. But now... You'll have to drag me out of our house to go out. Lol!

I guess even when you are not visiting and you are living in Indianapolis, this is something you might do especially if you still have lot's of energy to spare. I can totally say that I absolutely enjoyed my 20's and I was literally out every other night! Until my dog came and from frequent chilling, became seldom and now you'll have to drag me out of the house before I leave my dogs behind. Lol!

One of the things I love about Indianapolis is their diverse culture and there is something for everyone. Jazz, comedy bars, chill and do some wine tasting, and etc. For the people visiting, one way to complete your Indy experience is to visit one of the 5 great spots to chill when you are in Indianapolis.

Top 5 of Louisville's Most Haunted Places

Top 5 of Louisville's Most Haunted Places

For Real Estate Inquiries, Please Call, Your Journey Team:
 Niki Fuller at 502-523-5554 / e: niki@YourJourneyTeam.com

One week to go before Halloween and yes I am giddy with excitement and had been reading and checking out all the haunted places, mysteries and watching all the paranormal specials there is. It has been my routine since I was a kid and end up scaring myself before I go to sleep.

I have experienced some paranormal stuff in our very own home (not Niki's). Bed shaking, shadows passing by, I have seen white lady passing beside my bed, a guy holding flowers in my room then disappears, shadow figure just standing in the dark. I even saw a guy wearing all black standing behind the tree watching my brother and me as we ride our bikes. Stuff missing and reappear in the original place where you left it.

A real white dwarf wearing shiny clothes dancing in the tune of backstreet boys songs. I even heard 3 slow knocks in my door every other night and when I check no one is there. I almost believed that my room is some kind of portal going to our mango tree which I believe that it's being used as a home of the spirits and the reason why our mango tree bears fruits all year round. I even bought a charm to ward of spirits and prevent them from knocking in my room and added a red ribbon on my mirror just in case they are using it as a portal.

We haven't consulted with any paranormal investigator to check on our house. I guess confirming that there are spirits living with us will make me very uncomfortable to sleep in there. I think it's better to think of it as one way of my imagination playing with me.

But speaking of haunted places and ghost tours, have you tried any of this? I know it's for the people brave enough to go in those places and actually feel the creepiness of the place. So I decided to compile all the haunted places in Louisville and include any ghost tours that they have.

1. Waverly Hills Sanatorium

Waverly Hills Sanatorium is an old TB Hospital that has seen thousands of deaths in its day. Waverly has been featured on World’s Scariest Places and it is definitely one of the scariest places that I have ever laid my eyes on. The building alone is menacing and that is before you even step foot inside the haunted house. You will travel through tight, abandoned recesses of this haunted building and you will even see the infamous body chute. Little do you know that the creatures in the corridors of this haunted house aren’t actors. These are the ghosts that haunt Waverly Hills. They also do haunted tours which you can book for an incredibly eerie experience. For a truly spine-tingling experience, go to Waverly this Halloween season. Location: 4400 Paralee Lane Louisville, KY

Price: Private tours available at http://www.therealwaverlyhills.com/

2. The Pink Palace

ADDRESS:

1473 St. James Court
Louisville, Kentucky  40208

The Pink Palace seems to be the home of at least one spirit, Avery, who is a friendly, protecting presence, watching out for the people who live in his mansion. Avery and his family were the first private owners of The Pink Palace, after buying it from The Gentleman's club and Casino owners.

The entity of Avery has been described as an older southern gentleman, clean shaven with white hair, wearing an older era duck suit, with a string tie. His see-through apparition was 6 ft tall and has appeared to residents about to face the danger of some kind. - read more at http://www.hauntedhouses.com/states/ky/pink_palace.htm

3. The Louisville Palace Theater

The Louisville Palace Theater began as the Lowes Theatre in 1928. Theater goers, actors, and staff often see a faceless women from the 40s, a man from the 30s, and heard a child giggling by one of the powder rooms. A projector worker had a heart attack on the job and never quite clocked out. - source: http://www.onlyinyourstate.com/kentucky/hauntings-in-ky/
