If there is one thing I love about the Christmas Holiday is the month long preparation, wherein everyone is involved in decorating their houses with Christmas lights, inflatable snowman, probably some Frozen Themed displays, and some moving raindeers with Santa's Sled.  Even as a grown up, I still find the Christmas displays and Christmas Lights whimsical, it's heart-warming and I feel nostalgic just staring at the lights. Childhood memories came flashing back and it is a wonderful feeling that I cannot ignore.

One of the attractions in Louisville is the drive by Christmas display that you can find almost everywhere. It is definitely one of the best holiday seasons where all the roads, houses in every block and streets are lit up in the most beautiful way. This is one of the rare opportunities where your kids can actually stay out late and enjoy the Christmas lights, walk around the city to enjoy the view and just let their imagination run wild! Join Westport Village this Friday, December 4, 5 – 8PM for their Light Up the Village Event. Also enjoy a store discount. Westport Village has lots in store to help you celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. Here’s a peek at the holiday cheer in store for Light Up The Village:

  • Santa Claus will be visiting throughout the center from 5 to 6pm and will be at the Family
  •  Scholar House pop-up shop from 6 to 8pm for photos and holiday wishes.

Featuring the Kentucky State University Choir and a visit from Santa. Candlelight Tour at 6:00 p.m. Santa arrives at 7:00 p.m. All activities are complimentary.
