Christmas and Thanksgiving are probably the 2 of the busiest Holiday there is. But Christmas is the Holiday where we do a month long preparation. The decoration, shopping for Christmas presents, the Christmas eve dinner that we all prepare on the 24th of December and the food that we prepare on Christmas day.

One of the things I love is preparing our Christmas Eve dinner, actually, that's a joke. Lol! I am banned from the kitchen for tasting the food my mom prepares for Christmas Eve. Preparing the table, peeking inside the boxes my mom got for Christmas and if it's food, I start munching on it. I'm not that helpful, I know. Even before the ham reaches the table I already sliced a small part from it. Me being banned from the kitchen was my Holiday tradition and I am planning on changing it this year.

I know some of you have the coolest tradition and I am planning on creating one. I am planning on making some desserts, something that will require me to use an oven and risk getting burned. I'm not gifted with baking or cooking any complex dishes, but I am trying to change that tradition and take all the risk. Lol!  So here are some dessert recipes that may or may not require baking.

Here is our list of 5 Easy Yummy Christmas Deserts for Christmas Day.

1. Chocolate Trifle | Prep 30 mins. | Cook 25 mins. | Ready In 8 h 55 mins.

I guess this is a bit similar to a choco mousse  but only easier to make. What I love about this recipe is that you can choose other ingredients aside from chocolate, you can substitute it or add some strawberries or mallows and some chocolate syrup.

Ingredients

1 (19.8 ounce) package brownie mix
1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
1/2 cup water
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (1.5 ounce) bar chocolate candy

Directions

  • Prepare brownie mix according to package directions and cool completely. Cut into 1- inch squares.
  • In a large bowl, combine pudding mix, water and sweetened condensed milk. Mix until smooth, then fold in 8 ounces whipped topping until no streaks remain.
  • In a trifle bowl or glass serving dish, place half of the brownies, half of the pudding mixture and half of the 12- ounce container of whipped topping. Repeat layers. Shave chocolate onto top layer for garnish. Refrigerate 8 hours before serving.
