It's the day after Thanksgiving and it's Black Friday! I know you are all stuffed from eating all that scrumptious Thanksgiving meal and probably you guys have drilled a hole in your wallet ( figuratively speaking) since today is Black Friday.  But, I do hope you got some really good items and made your advance Christmas shopping. I know it will save you a lot of money and of course, you get items on sale. Don't we all just love Black Friday?!

Anyway, it's a long weekend for all of us and this is a great time to spend time with your loved ones. A long weekend where we have enough time to spend with your family and you still have enough time to spend with your friends. So I decided to list all the activities and there are a lot of activities scheduled for this weekend that I want to take part of!

I really do hope that you guys enjoyed Thanksgiving and here is our list of weekend activities in Indianapolis.

Meet Native American artist-in-residence Katrina Mitten (Miami), learn about her beadwork and Miami culture. Also, visit Teresa Webb (Anishinaabe) and hear about Native American cultures through stories and songs; create art; and see the museum's annual holiday display, Jingle Rails: The Great Western Adventure.

Schedule (both days):
10 am-4 pm - Artist-in-Residence, Katrina Mitten (Miami)
1-3 pm - Storytelling with Teresa Webb (Anishinaabe)

The whole family is invited to attend the annual BROAD RIPPLE Lights Up! festival. This free event will feature a kids’ wonderland activity area, live entertainment, Indianapolis’ only twilight holiday parade, and the lighting of the 21’ tall tree and holiday light display at Indianapolis Fire Station #32 (6330 Guilford Avenue).

Tickets: $$30.50-$70.50.

The spirit of Tchaikovsky guides Moscow Ballet’s professional ballerinas as they leap and pirouette against hand-painted backgrounds that invigorate his spirited score in time for the holiday season.Great Russian Nutcracker reintroduces audiences of all ages to young Masha, whose taste for adventure rivals her magical wooden doll’s legendary aversion to chestnuts. Dancers fling themselves across the stage in grand jetés as the curtain opens on Moscow’s iconic skyline, which gives way to a spooky dreamland as the Mouse King rears his fuzzy head to stir up mischief. Audiences gasp as legions of mice capture Masha’s strong-jawed companion and carry him away, past a lavishly decorated Christmas tree that soars toward the ceiling, and through their fellow dancers, who do not grow taller in the same way. The ensuing battle ushers the action into the enchanted Land of Peace and Harmony in the ballet’s second act. Read more at http://www.visitindy.com.

The Mind Tripping show is a Comedy with a Psychological Twist. It is an intimate show where the audience is a part of the show. The subjects of the show: mind reading, influence, perception, and lying can be serious and heavy…but not for Christian & Katalina. You will laugh as much as you will be amazed. It is as funny as it is mind blowing. Experience a night of head scratching, hilarious, mind bending enjoyment.

Guess who’s preparing for his big holiday trip. It’s Santa, of course! And he’s making a special stop at the Indianapolis International Airport!
Watch Santa dash across the tarmac on a fire truck to greet all the kids who come to welcome him. See his big entrance from inside Civic Plaza (food court area) at 11 am, and then chat with Mr. Claus himself.
Pictures with Santa, face painting, balloon artistry, glitter tattoos, magicians, and more are all part of the free celebration. You can even watch in amazement as Santa’s reindeer and elves prance and dance on stilts! Families can take home their pictures right after meeting with Santa. Plus, parking is free when you register with Santa’s workers. (A registration table with signage will be inside the airport the day of the event near guest services; we'll have lots of Santa's helpers to assist you when you arrive.) Come for a different, innovative beer every day! Flavors include Snickerdoodle Blonde, Koko B. Ware Stout, Wassail Cycle, Chocolate Orange Porter, Brandy Walk, Milk and Cookies, Can't Catch Me Stout, Bourbon Ball Ride, Fruitcake, Fireside Amber, Juniper Spruce IPA, Grandpa's Glazed Ham, and The Twelfth Barleywine.
