If there is one thing I value most in life is learning. I always believe that learning can come in different forms, it can be through reading, experience, exposure and or by watching tv. Basically, it can come in any form as long as our senses are involved in the process.
The 2nd thing that I value on top of learning is having a dream. Whenever I see my niece or meet my friend's child, I always ask them their dream or what they wanted to be in the future. It's nice to hear them having a dream and a goal when they grow up.
Learning starts in the early stage of development, we make sure to expose them to all kinds of the educational materials, paying attention to their interest, and make sure that we are stirring them to the right direction.
My brother and I were talking the other day. We were discussing their future dream for my niece. They want her to be a veterinarian, and that they are letting her help with taking care of their dogs, bringing her with them when they visit the vet and teaching her the right way of handling a dog.
But it doesn't mean that they are pushing her to be a veterinarian. She is free to choose whatever she wants, except becoming a mermaid and to become a dragon slayer in the future.
I know! Kids say the funniest and most innocent things!
Anyway, learning is not just for kids, it's a continuous process for everyone.
Museums is a great way for kids to be inspired, learn and experience first-hand everything that their generation wasn't able to experience. Going on a trip to the museum can spark their interest, creativity and inspire them to become one of the historical figure or the next record-breaker race car driver or the next Van Gogh of their generation.
I have come up with the list of all Museums that can be found in Indianapolis and start planning your trip with your kids. Enjoy!
