Thanksgiving Easy to make recipe: Pumpkin Smoothie & Blue Cheese and Pear Tartlets
I will be sharing 2 really easy to make recipes every day until thanksgiving. Only the recipes that I think we will all like and we can make anytime and not just during this thanksgiving. Also, I am not responsible for any of this recipes and I absolutely take no credit for it. Enjoy!
Pumpkin Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1 (16 ounce) can pumpkin puree
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Directions:
- Place the pumpkin puree in a freezer bag; store in freezer for at least 24 hours.
- Heat the bag of pumpkin puree in the microwave on HIGH to soften, 1 to 2 minutes.
- Pour the milk into a blender. Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, and pumpkin; blend until smooth.
Blue Cheese and Pear Tartlets
Ingredients:
- 4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
- 1 ripe pear - peeled, cored, and chopped
- 2 tablespoons light cream
- ground black pepper to taste
- 1 (2.1 ounce) package mini phyllo tart shells
- Pre-bake phyllo shells according to package directions. Set aside to cool.
- Mix together blue cheese, pear, and cream. Season to taste with pepper. Spoon mixture into cooled shells.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Serve warm.
